5. Breastplate of Righteousness Hall
Drawing from Ephesians 6, this hall explores the breastplate of righteousness—the divine armor that guards the believer’s heart.
- The Roman Lorica Segmentata: The iron plate armor worn by soldiers in the time of the Apostle Paul.
- The Ancient Chinese Hùxīnjìng (護心鏡): The bronze and silver “heart mirrors” from various dynasties, showing the decorative and protective focus on the chest.
- Medieval Knight’s Plackart: The heavy steel chest piece from the 15th century, illustrating how armor evolved to become “unbreakable.”
- Modern Ballistic Vest: A contemporary tactical vest featuring advanced polymer fibers and ceramic trauma plates. This evolution of the breastplate represents the “Modern Sentinel”.
